Project Description

Geordie Bay Store

Designed and built in parallel with the General Store, the brief was to present a competing business with matching brand identity. The challenge was the existing building, a 1970's metal shed, which lacked the Heritage charm of its older sister, so finishes were carefully chosen to convey the same warmth and material richness. Timber bi-fold entry doors, solid timber counters and a speckled sandy floor finish ensure that grocery shopping on Rottnest is as unlike weekly trips to the supermarket back home as possible.
